Still Waiting!

It’s now 11am and there is still no sign of any decent wind out on the Solent so we still have the postponement flag flying from the RCYC mast and the Half Ton Classic Cup fleet is still ensconced at Shepards Wharf Marina enjoying a chance to catch up on all the latest gossip, compare boats and drink plenty of coffee.

A special mention must go to Andy Williams of the 1984 Rob Humphries designed MG Glider II who finally made it into Cowes this morning having suffered engine failure on their way here.  Andy is one of the few crews pleased to see today’s postponement as it gives them time to get their engine repaired and catch up on their preparations.  We’re thrilled you made it guys and good luck with the repairs.

What wind we currently have is coming from the East but as you can see from our photo below its still very patchy and unstable.  The sun is trying to break through so we live in hope of a sea breeze and will update you as soon as we have more news from RC Rob Lamb who is out on the race course monitoring the situation.
