Good morning everyone and welcome to day 3 of the Half Ton Classics Cup 2018 in Nieuwpoort. At the 08.30 briefing the race committee advised that they aim to run three races today, the first two will be windward leewards and the third may be the short inshore/coastal race or another windward leeward.
The good news is that we have some wind already and the forecast is for it to stay for the day! For the earlier races it is due to be from the south west, clocking westerly later and generally at around 8-10 knots. Sadly the sun is still refusing to put in an appearance but hopefully it will appear later and at least its dry and warm so we should be in for a great day on the water.
Also at this morning’s briefing the race committee announced that it hopes to run the long inshore race tomorrow and a formal notice regarding this will be posted shortly.
Hopefully we’ll have racing underway on time at 10.30 so stay tuned for updates later.
