Half Ton Classics Cup 2015 Day 4 Results Posted

The Results for the Long Inshore Race and the Overall Results after 8 races have now been  posted and we can confirm that Per Elisa won today’s race by 2 minutes and 13 seconds from Trasdada with Miss Whiplash in third and Checkmate XV fourth.

In the overall standings Checkmate XV continues to lead the regatta with a margin of 5 points from Miss Whiplash with Per Elisa a further 5.4 points back in third.

The race committee has announced this evening that, due to the forecast for little or no wind from midday tomorrow, they will bring the final briefing of the regatta forward to 08.30 and the start time of the final races forward to 10.00.  They hope to be able to complete two further races before the wind fails.

IMG_6875At tonight’s prize giving the Half Ton Classics Cup Harken winch handle for race 8 was awarded to fifth placed Skippy’s Ton owned by Nicolas Lejeune and Jean Marie Gillès.  Nicolas was particularly delighted to win the prize, not only because Harken’s Carbo One Touch winch handles are a fabulous piece of kit, but because they lost a winch handle over the side earlier in the week and really needed a replacement.
